Location

McGraw Rd., Parish of Saint Martins, Bains Corner, County of Saint John, irregular in shape, having a frontage of approximately 300 metres (985 feet) along McGraw Rd. at the east. The remainder of the property does not have road frontage, but rather abuts other privately held lands. The area is 35.12 hectares or 86.78 acres. There is hydro and telephone service, along McGraw Rd.

Access

From Rothesay (about 12 kilometres northeast of Saint John), take Route 111 southeasterly about 41 kilometres to its intersection with McGraw Rd. Turn left (north) onto McGraw Rd. and proceed about 1 kilometre to the eastern limit of the property, which extends in a generally southerly direction.

Terrain & Vegetation

The property is entirely wooded and without any dwellings or other structures, though there are structures on the adjacent properties. The land is generally flat, and a small stream crosses in a generally south west direction. Most of the nearby land on both sides of the highway is a mixture of meadows and flat woodlands, with slopes adjacent to watercourses.

Crown Land

There is no adjacent Crown Land, but there are numerous large Crown Land tracts nearby including one which abuts Route 111 at nearby Bains Corner which is about 50% wetland and extends south to the Bay of Fundy.

This is a rural seaside area with many outdoor recreational activities available - fishing, canoeing, kayaking, camping, and swimming, to name just a few.
