Old Woodstock Rd., Parish of Saint James, Andersonville, County of Charlotte, irregular in shape, having a frontage of approximately 300 metres (985 feet) along Brown Rd. at the north and varying depth. The remainder of the property does not have road frontage, but rather abuts other privately held lands. The area is 3.93 hectares or 9.7 acres.
From Saint Stephen (about 124 kilometres west of Saint John via Route 1), take Route 630 (called Old Woodstock Rd. in the property description) northerly about 83 kilometres to Brown Rd. Turn left (west) and proceed about 300 metres to the northeast corner of the property, which extends in a generally southwesterly direction.
The property is about 90% wooded and without any dwellings or other structures. There appears to be a structure opposite the property’s northwest corner, on the north side of Brown Rd., but otherwise structures nearby are few and far between. The land is generally flat, and without any discernible wetlands. Most of the surrounding land is a mixture of woodlands and wetlands except for an area of cultivated land to the immediate south.
There is no adjacent Crown Land, but there is a large Crown Land tract which abuts Route 360 both to the north and the south of Brown Rd. consisting of many tracts of wetland while the remainder is rolling woodland with numerous streams, as well as the Canoose Reservoir.
This is a rural seaside area with many outdoor recreational activities available - fishing, canoeing, kayaking, camping, and swimming, to name just a few. On Tourism New Bruswick’s website https://tourismnewbrunswick.ca/ many activities and destinations can be found, and at the same time many of the conveniences of modern living can be accessed at nearby Saint John, which is 200 kilometres to the southeast.
